Annual Increase in Compensation Limits – 1st February 2009
The annual increase in compensation limits for unfair dismissal and the maximum redundancy ‘week’s pay’ have just been published. These will come into force on 1st February 2009
- Compensatory award for unfair dismissal: from £63,000 to £66,200
- A 'week's pay' for redundancy and the basic award: from £330 to £350
- Maximum redundancy payment: £9,900 to £10,500
Please note that redundancy payments for any dismissal that take affect on or after 1st February should be calculated on the new rates.
